Hi, I’m Rosalie. I’m originally from Nelson New Zealand, one of the few places in NZ that can be remotely considered ‘warm’. I moved to Brisbane in 1999, had a weird Aussie/Kiwi hybrid accent for a while, but now I only say ‘fush and chups’ upon special request.
Starting out
My first job was a classic – McDonalds, so when you wonder where that epic customer service comes from, there’s your answer. I’m the oldest of 6 kids, so when you wonder how I wrangle chaos so well, there’s your answer. Apart from that one time I did the QLD equivalent of running away and joining the circus (worked at a theme park) I have spent the last 15 years or so working in various administration-based roles. I found my love of client services in the financial planning sector when I joined a great team in Melbourne. Whilst I loved them dearly, I could not handle only having 9 days of summer (sorry Melbourne, your weather is terrible!) and so our tale came to an end, and I moved back to Brisbane in late 2014, where I have been using the air-conditioner excessively ever since.
A bit more about me
I’m an avid knitter, cat enthusiast and coffee lover – tea is for the weak. I recently decided to undertake my bachelor’s degree in business, I figured a little tertiary education couldn’t hurt anybody. I was wrong, please send help. I would love to tell you that I’m a keen explorer and lover of the outdoors, but I did the Kokoda challenge once. Once. And that will be all, thank you very much. Nature and I are not friends, however I can entertain you with a TV or movie quote, and always have time to listen to your suggestions about what I should watch next.
