Hi, I’m John, and I'm a Filipino who was born and raised in Cebu City. Being the eldest of three kids, I spent a lot of my youth helping with our family's billiard table rental business. That enabled me to enhance both my ability to socialise with a variety of people and my beginner-level billiards skills. Having that said, my parents gave me an allowance for helping them with the family business and I mostly spent it all on video games without them knowing!
Starting Out
As soon as I graduated from college, I got a job as a Customer Service and Sales Associate for one of the biggest financial institution in the Philippines for four years. Since there aren't many differences between banking and financial planning when it comes to making sure the paperwork gets done right the first time, banking was a great avenue for me to start when first exploring this industry. The fact that I feel content after working is what matters the most.
A bit more about me
Outside of my current career, I’m still living my (not seriously) dream of being a professional basketball player. I spend a lot of time playing basketball on the weekends and even after work, because it helps me to relax my mind and prepare for tomorrow's plans.
